What's included in landed cost

Landed cost is everything you pay to get goods to your door: the product, international freight and insurance, US duties (including 2026 Section 301 and 232 tariffs), the MPF and HMF, broker and ISF fees, a customs bond, terminal charges and final delivery.

Customs value is not your landed cost

US duty is charged on the transaction value, which excludes international freight and insurance when they are identified separately (19 CFR 152.103). Buying CIF? Enter the freight and insurance included in your invoice and we deduct it. See FOB vs CIF customs value.

The 2026 tariff stack

Most imports now pay a Section 301 forced-labor tariff on top of the normal rate, and Chinese goods also pay China-specific 301 duties. Read US tariffs in 2026 or check one code with the tariff calculator.
